The ch00ftech Guide to Breadboarding

After posting my very tidy circuit on Reddit the other day, I got a few requests for a breadboarding guide.  I came up with this:

I did this all in one take (with some editing), so sorry if it’s a little sloppy.  Regardless, it’s chock-full of tips for breadboarding, and if your boards usually end up like a rat’s nest, it’s the best way you can spend 25 minutes.

  1. Great video! I’ve independantly discovered a few of those tricks over the years, but there were still some new ones that I’m looking forward to using next time I’m breadboarding something.
    Favourite line from the video:
“Put on some Pink Floyd, mellow out a bit.”
    Great advice. 🙂

  2. Excellent video. Even though I do most of my work with veroboard and a soldering iron, your tips on cutting and stripping wire alone will save me more than the 25 minutes I spent watching the video. 🙂

  3. Amazing tutorial! Thanks for explaining all of those breadboarding tips! I had never thought to make little wire “test loops” before for scoping. That trick alone will save me a lot of headaches in the future!
