No More Polaroid Palpitations

Unlike other instant cameras that use specialized paper and ink, the PrintSnap camera uses inexpensive standard receipt paper. For the price of 8 Polaroid 600-type images, you can print over eight thousand PrintSnap pictures.

While it won't be blowing away a Hasselblad, PrintSnap's 640x384 resolution is more than high enough to capture your precious memories on real, physical paper. And at such a low price, you never need to feel shutter anxiety again. Take a picture of everything! Your friends, your baby's first steps, what you had for breakfast this morning. Why not? Each image will cost you just $0.003. That's right. Less than a penny.

Secure

The PrintSnap camera is not able to store or transmit digital copies of your photos, so you can rest assured that your images will never show up in unexpected places.

Portable

Printsnap can store 50 feet of paper which means that you can take up to 150 pictures without needing to carry batteries, memory cards, or film.

Editable

You're not limited to filters or Photoshop. With PrintSnap, every picture you take can become an original work of art. Cut, paste, draw, add glitter, googly eyes... the only limit is your imagination!

Off the Grid

PrintSnap doesn't have an app, bluetooth, or wifi. It can't connect to the Internet of Things nor will it let you know how many steps you took today. It's designed to let you disconnect from your digital world and focus on what matters.

FAQ

How large are PrintSnap photos?

The viewable part of the image is 3x1.75 inches. Just the right size for your wallet or scrapbook.

Where can I buy PrintSnap paper?

PrintSnap takes standard 2 1/4 inch thermal paper of lengths up to 50 feet. This can be found at numerous locations online or wherever office supplies are sold.

What about BPA?

Recent studies have shown that standard thermal receipt paper contains Bisphenol A or "BPA", a chemical which can be hazardous to your health. We recommend that you choose from one of the many BPA-free thermal paper options available for use with your PrintSnap. If it works in a receipt printer, it'll work in your camera.

What kind of maintenance does PrintSnap require?

Unlike conventional inkjet or laser printers, PrintSnap doesn't use any ink or have any print heads that need to be cleaned. We expect your PrintSnap will survive several years of regular use.

Is it really made out of wood?

The PrintSnap prototype is made out of walnut though we will be offering a lower-cost option made from more conventional plastic.

How much does PrintSnap cost?

We are still in the early stages of development, so it's difficult to say right now how much it will cost. If you'd like to be the first to know, please sign up for our newsletter below.

How big is PrintSnap?

The PrintSnap camera prototype measures 3.25x6.75x3 inches and weighs 1.45 pounds.
