that seems like a good idea, but on the other hand, keep in mind that the reason the toy gives lettering is because while it moves back and forth it solidifies the letters, where as the train wouldn’t be able to, you could only read a train moving left to right (and not that well), so on the flip side, what about an LED panel ever x feet?
True, actually, I thought I said that in the idea… you’re right, you would need to have a panel every few feet and have them synced up to each other somehow.

A rapid transit tunnel in Seattle has LED strips on the walls that do exactly that. IN COLOR!
