The whole point of this idea is that people tend not to carry around an extra pair of headphones. If I have a song and I want to share it with my headphone-less friend, a headphone splitter won’t do me any good.
I got some of these right on my desk, built in the Headphone, there are DJ Headphone so the point of the switch in this case is to keep hearing all right while cueing with only one ear. Sony mdr-v250
